I love to write for young readers, and I write both young adult and middle grade fiction. I fall into the hybrid author category with five traditionally published young adult novels--Sliding on the Edge, The Princess of Las Pulgas, Double Negative, Sudden Secrets, and Not Guilty. In the self-published category, I claim three middle grade adventure/fantasies: Sign of the Green Dragon was my first stand alone. Alligators Overhead and the sequel, The Great Time Lock Disaster were the first two in a series. When I placed the last book in this series with a publisher, I officially had a trilogy with Some Very Messy Medieval Magic, and that put me back into the traditional camp. It’s fun to know both sides of this writing business. \n\nWhen I’m not writing I’m thinking about it or scratching my head over how all of this started. I'm still not sure, but the ride has been exhilarating and so much different than I'd expected.\n\n
